Here I am at the middle of week 2 ,things are beginning to show .
I really found it beneficial from the ABCD task ,it makes teaching organized as thoughts are , lessons clear ,useful and at the point!
I am a graduate of education ,I have studied lesson plans .but in university level where I teach I never made a plan ,I thought its already there in the textbook so why bother?
After my experience this week I find it helping ,it gives the teacher an opportunity to evaluate work ,even if the results aren't satisfying one can always trace back and check where the error is .
Search engines is also an important issue ,imagine all this time I thought Google was the best ,well there are a number of search engines that may fit the searching purpose.
Its awesome what the internet provides we just need the right tools.

i study ABCD approaches.and I make a try today.
A: the Audience (who): students
• B: Behavior / the capability (what) specific assessment
Example: (not advised to: increase mathematical ability) (: will do multiplication question)
• C: the Condition (under what condition / tools)
Example: (multiplication table)
• D: Degree (the how well / time limit)
Example: (90% correct) or (20 minutes to do 30 questions)

Batool, long ago I though the same way that you are telling us, why bother about lesson plans!!!
ReplyDeleteBut now since almost 5 years ago, I think that they are important because they guide you, and guide your students, lesson plans are like a map when you are traveling, they help you to find the route, the correct way, you also can find obstacles and overcome them next time that you decide to go over the same trip. This is what I think.
Now considering ABCD approach, I think that is a very complete way to plan, you are considering since the beginning up to the end. In this way you and your students do not get lost.
Hi Batool,ABCD Model is very near to objectives we have been using, but I think it is more accurate as it focus on the degree which helps us , as teachers, to assess our students's performance.

ReplyDeleteI think not only you who is not writing plan me too. Yet that was in the past and sfter I start writing good plans for my lesson I discovered that plans are very helpful. I aslo have read about ABCD appraoch and frankly I found it more easy and can be used practicaly.
