Ive finally finished my lesson plan .Now I feel things are beginning to clear .Inspite of the use of technology in lesson plan ,now I realize the importance of authentic material and clear objectives .
The thing I'm thinking about now is integrating skills in one lesson ,do the objectives overlap in that case ?
The other issue the lesson plan raised in my mind is considering the students learning styles when planning a lesson .Its so often one tents to teach the way one likes or even the way one was taught .How unfair it is to set a lesson that meets one of the learning styles neglecting the others just because its easy !
Teaching is not an easy task as some may think ,definitely a good plan is behind a good lesson!

ReplyDeleteI have been thinking under the same point that you mentioned. Talking about lesson plans, long ago I though they were a waste of time, I think that is a task that coordinators use to asked for, and they do not read all our work. But after a while and of course after been reading and studying a master degree I realize how useful tool they are. They are like a map, a map that guide you, that take you up the place you will like to reach. Although during the walk you will find obstacles, but as far as practice you will be developing better and clear lesson plans. And important aspect that I try to remember is a Bloom Taxonomy; it helps you and your students to do what you expect them to do. Using the correct verbs to clarify what are they doing and you also needs to consider the strategies, that are the who are they going to do the task.

Hi Batool,
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you began to formulate your lesson plan. Lesson plan as lights on an dark road which help us know where we should put our feet.
